Aravis was on the out side of the white lake. The fall skies were gray today, and the wind was makeing the lake have white caps. The water looked gray and cold, and sad. It made her sweet face crinkle in concern. She was very pregnate at this point, her belly swollen and it was harder for her to move around. She was tired and since no one new really were the pack was she felt it was safe enough. She took in a deep breath and plundged in the cold waters. It made her shiver slightly, but still she proseded. If a lone wolf were looking at her now they would think her silly, swimming into a lake, seeming to be going any were. Then suddenly she dived under, she had done this so many times she knew were the enterance was. She swam to the hole, which if entered would open up into a cave, filled with fresh air.
Her head emerged in the pool of the cave. It was warmer in there and she could see her breath, she had a bit of a difficult time hauling her heavy body onto the edge of the pool. When she finally did she shook off the water on her coat and proseded into a small hole which was a den.

Shasta watched as Aravis pluged into the icy waters to reach their home safely. He let her go, knowing it would be good for her to be in the cave. It was warmer, and much better since the pups were coming. It would be hard for her to have them outside the cave, because then he would have many warriors stationed outside with her for 2 months. However, he followed her all the same. He made sure she made it into the cave safely. She watched strait to the den. Not knowing what to do, he obseverved the entrance cavern and the first could connecting caves. He looked down into the depths of it. He saw no activity or end wall. He had scouted the entire cave before, he decided that the back parts were not allowed because it rose up out of the lake, and to the far right the ceiling seemed to unstable with the weight of water.
After searching for anything he could do, he discovered nothing and decided to see Aravis. He walked into their den. He again was taken aback by how large Aravis was, but he pushed it from his mind. "So... Um, do you have enough food supply for the next couple days?"

When Aravis saw Shasta in the mouth of the den, she smiled. They were so small he probably couldnt see them. "I think I will be ok, but if the pups and I need any thing, youll be the first to know." she said quietly. She put her head down to the new born pups and nuzzled hem gently letting them know she was there. There were 4 of them, 3 boys, 1 girl. The boys were, Lone, Shilan, and Faolan. And her one baby girl was Freya. One looked like her, one looked like Shasta, one was cream like her with the splotches like dad. Then there was one pure white one. She couldn't see there eyes since they were closed, but she bet they were beautiful.

Faolan wiggled slightly in the silent dark world he wasin, he nestled next to mom, and wimperd slightly. He screeched alittle with delight as he felt a warm nuzzle. Then he smelled another being. He wiggled away from mom and over to another thing, which he would find out is dad. Suddenly he felt cold and lost, he shivered and whined.

Lone was nestled close to mom. He kicked one of his siblings but he didn't mean to. He whimpered in delight when he felt mom nuzzle him. He sniffed and smelled another wolf. He also smelled one of his siblings farther away. He crawled towards his sibling and snuggled close to him. He whined for mom.

Shilan was calm and was very sleepy. He was laying on his side with his body pushed against his mothers warm body. He was not close to where his sister and brothers were. But he liked the feel of his mothers fur against his small body.

Aravis quickly reached out and took the two pup by the scruff, bringing them back to her. She softly repremanded them, even though the couldnt hear her. She nuzzled them agian and licked them all. She smiled down at them.

Freya was a little farther away from her mother than her brothers were. She wriggled closer to her mother, following her scent. Freya shuddered, slightly cold, and moved closer to her mom's warm fur. She curled into a little ball and fell asleep.

Shasta just stood in his place as he tried to absorb what was going on. Aravis had swam to the cave knowing that she was going to have the pups any second. He wanted to run to her, but his feet were glued to the ground. After a few seconds, he heard the faint whine of a pup, and he couldn't resist. He felt that he could move again, and he ran for her. He was at a loss for words, he wanted to be with them so much; he wanted to be the father his dad never was. He saw before him 4 beautiful pups. He wanted to just grab onto them and hold them forever, but he was afraid to touch them because they were so fragile. He felt his eyes get watery and he laid down beside Aravis. "have you thought of any names yet?" he nudged the closest pup to him, filling his lungs with it's being. (sorry if that sounds weird, I'm just trying to portray a dad...)

Lone whimpered happily as his mom pulled him close and licked him. He felt himself being pulled away form his mother and to another wolf. He didn't care. He was cold so he snuggled close to the wolf that was his father.
